Original Makita carbon brush set CB‑440 (part 195021‑6) — a direct replacement brush set for Makita brushed motors; replaces older Makita references such as 194427‑5 and 194159‑4.


What’s included and key dimensions: two carbon brushes per pack with braided copper wire leads and springs attached for an easy swap. Each brush measures approximately 3 × 10 × 13 mm (thickness × width × length). The brushes are graphite/carbon with brass terminal/lead construction.


Example models this CB‑440 set fits (common examples only): BDF452 / BDF451 / BDF440 series drills, BHP451 / BHP452 hammer drivers, BTD130 / BTD140 / BTD142 impact drivers, BTP140, BTW250 / BTW251 impact wrenches, DDF482 / DHP482 and DTW250 / DTW251 among many other Makita LXT 18 V brushed motor tools. (Check the brush size against your tool’s existing brushes to confirm fit.)


Why install this part: worn brushes cause poor performance, excessive sparking and can damage the commutator — replacing them with an original Makita CB‑440 carbon brushes restores motor contact and extends tool life. The set is ready to drop in where CB‑440 is specified.
