Original Makita retaining ring — part no. 961004-6. This external circlip (Retaining Ring S-8, DIN 471 style) is an original Makita replacement used to lock bearings, gears or sleeves onto a grooved shaft so components can’t move axially during use; it’s made from hardened spring steel with a dark protective finish and installs with standard circlip pliers.
