Makita 517984-0 Armature / Rotor assembly — genuine Makita replacement for the motor in select corded rotary hammers. This 240 V armature (also referenced as 515289-2) is the rotating core of the motor: precision-machined commutator, stacked steel laminations, copper windings and a hardened steel shaft, factory-balanced to reduce vibration and restore smooth speed and torque under load. It’s a direct-fit rotor for Makita HR2460 and HR2470 series rotary hammers (including HR2470F and HR2470T), so you can swap it in to get drilling and chiselling performance back to spec.
Engineered to the original Makita specification, this armature is intended to pair with correct brush holders and bearings during service—replacing a burnt or worn armature will markedly reduce sparking, heat and loss of power.
