Makita SAFETY COVER LS1040/F - 416003-8
Makita part 416003-8 — genuine Makita Safety Cover (clear lower blade guard) designed to replace a cracked, worn or missing cover on compatible Makita mitre saws.
This original Makita cover fastens to the center cover/blade case to protect the bottom of the blade and restore the saw’s blade-guard function; the cover is supplied as the single plastic guard (spring and mounting hardware are sold separately).
Fits Makita models LS1040 — a direct-fit replacement that follows the factory contours and mounting points.
Note: the cover is secured using P.H. screw M5 × 12 (part 911213-7) and works with the saw’s existing spring arrangement (both listed separately in the parts breakdown).
