Makita 122A92-6 Spare Part - *GEAR ASSEMBLY DHP486
122D48-7 supersedes older part numbers: 122A92-6
Makita 122D48-7 — original Makita complete gear (planetary) assembly for the two‑speed gearbox in the DHP486 series. It’s a pre‑assembled gear cluster designed to restore smooth shifting, torque transfer and hammer/drill drive when the original gearbox gears or bearings have failed.
What you get: a ready‑to‑fit gear/gearbox assembly (planetary gearset plus associated pinion/bearing components) that replaces the worn internal gearbox parts — listed historically under part numbers 127698‑9, 122A92‑6 and 122B68‑9 and 122H10‑6.
Fits: made for Makita DHP486 brushless 18 V LXT hammer driver drills (including the DHP486Z / DHP486RTJ variants shown in Makita parts lists). For reference, the DHP486 platform has a 1.5–13 mm chuck capacity and the 18 V LXT specification.
Notes for repair: this part is sold as the complete internal gearbox assembly so it drops into the gearbox housing as a direct replacement — install by removing the old gearbox carrier and fitting the new assembly, checking retaining rings and bearings during reassembly.
