Original Hitachi retaining ring — part no. 673-489. E‑type (external) circlip sized for a D5 (≈5 mm) shaft; used to lock collars, rollers or small assemblies onto the shaft so moving parts stay positively located during operation.

Small, inexpensive spare made to the same fit as the factory part — stamped/formed ring that snaps into the groove on a 5 mm shaft (sold individually). Ideal if a worn or missing circlip is the cause of wobble, noise or a loose guide/roller in your tool.
