DeWalt 429608-00 Spare Part - BRUSH

Original DeWalt carbon brush (part no. 429608-00) — direct-fit replacement for the DW733 planer series. This is the graphite/metal motor brush used in the DW733 thicknesser/planer to transfer current to the commutator; it’s a wear item designed to restore lost power, reduce arcing and prevent premature armature damage.

Fits: DeWalt DW733 planer / thicknesser — Type 1, Type 1A and Type 2 (common fitment for DW733 variants).

Quick notes for the repair: the brush is supplied as a single unit (order quantity = number of brushes), so you’ll normally replace both brushes at the same time; when fitted correctly the brush holder, spring and lead remain the same and installation is straightforward if you remove the motor cover and check brush wear and armature condition while you’re in there. Typical symptoms of worn brushes are reduced motor power, intermittent cut-out or heavy sparking at the commutator.
